Einstein’s theory of special relativity sets a limit on the speed of light in a vacuum, but sound, although slower, carries a unique potential. Sound is a mechanical wave formed by vibrations in a given medium. As these vibrations travel, they transfer energy, creating movement and rhythm that can influence our body and mind.
When we speak about healing, sound and vibrations can resonate, harmonise, and stimulate the processes of recovery. Through their interaction with molecules, sound influences water – the main component of our bodies – and creates healing energy that penetrates deep into our being.
High and low vibrations: the energy of health and illness
Vibrations are measured in frequencies, and each frequency carries a specific influence on our body and spirit:
- High vibrations are usually associated with health, happiness, harmony, and love. They stimulate positive emotions, strengthen vital energy, and help the body function optimally. High-frequency sounds – such as the tones of Tibetan bowls or harmonic resonances – can support mental relaxation and create a sense of peace.
- Low vibrations, on the other hand, are often associated with negative states such as stress, anxiety, and illness. These vibrations can lead to stagnation in the body’s energy flow, which disrupts balance and weakens the ability for self-healing.
When the vibrations in our body are out of balance – for example due to chronic stress or negative emotions – low frequencies can create conditions for the development of illness. Harmonising these vibrations through sound therapy helps restore balance and increase vital energy.
Sound as a bridge to health
The movement of sound waves through the body stimulates natural healing mechanisms. Tibetan bowls, gongs, and other sound therapy instruments create vibrations that penetrate the cells, harmonise the energy centres (chakras), and stimulate circulation. This not only supports physical recovery but also helps clear the mind of negative thoughts and emotions.
Every cell in our body has its own vibrational frequency. When these vibrations are synchronised through sound, the body and spirit begin to function in harmony, creating a sense of wholeness and balance.
